EDP Consultants has an immediate opening for a Geotechnical Engineer with a Masters in Geotechnical Engineering or a candidate with a Bachelors in Civil Engineering, relevant graduate coursework, and an interest in pursuing a Masters.
Experience Requirements
This is an entry level position for a candidate with up to three years of related experience in engineering and/or construction materials testing. A willingness to spend time in the field at the start of your career, and effective writing and verbal communication skills are a must. Computer competence with MS Office programs, AutoCAD LT, PLAXIS, and commercial geotechnical software would be a plus.Professional Registration
Engineering Intern (EI) registration is desirable and PE registration must eventually be obtained.Responsibilities
You will work with clients, contractors, engineers, architects, and our in-house drill crews. You will perform calculations and prepare written reports. You will learn from and work with experienced geotechnical engineers who will help you to reach your professional goals. You will be encouraged to actively participate in professional society activities. You will be expected to continue to learn and to develop your engineering skills, and will be given responsibilities that match your skills.Benefits
