Wetlands Consulting Services

The Wetlands Delineation defines the boundaries of wetlands that would be under the jurisdiction of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. EDP Consultants delineations are performed in accordance with procedures currently accepted by the Corps as outlined in the Corps of Engineers Wetlands Delineation Manual of 1987.

A site evaluation often begins with a walkover to determine whether wetlands are present and to estimate their size. A full delineation may follow if jurisdictional wetlands are found.

EDP Consultants’ wetlands group includes a botanist and aquatic ecologist experienced in the preparation and submittal of fill permit applications, and planning mitigation projects. Since 1991 we have completed more than 90 wetlands evaluations on sites in nine northeastern Ohio counties ranging up to 650 acres in size.

Asbestos Hazard and Lead Risk Assessment

Asbestos and lead based paint are a concern in building demolition and renovation and in property transfers. Schools are required to identify asbestos risks in their buildings and to periodically reevaluate their facilities. EDP Consultants staff Certified Asbestos Hazard Evaluation Specialists provide assessment services to identify asbestos hazards, quantify asbestos containing materials, recommend encapsulation or removal, and monitor and document the activities of the removal contractor.
